Mercyland Church has debunked the claims of one Chuks that alleged on social media that Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin attacked him physically and destroyed his properties which he said was orchestrated by the man of God because he said the Prophet and the church is owing him.

Speaking with Okuma Sunday, SSA to Prophet Fufeyin Jeremiah, he said that Chuks is no stranger to him and the church as he had come to the church in search of a job in 2014.

Adding: “He was given a direct employment as a direct labour worker with the church.”

According to Okuma, Chuks came up with a quotation and thereafter a Quantity Surveyor was assigned to him by the church.

He said: “Chuks has been working and collecting money. The church decided to investigate the project carried out by Chuks and discovered he was doing a substandard job in spite of collecting up to the sum of N115 million naira.

“The church also provided blocks for the construction. He also used fake and substandard materials. A round table meeting was organised by the church and the Quantity Surveyor stated the money collected by Chuks was embezzled. With so much money given to him, little work was done with fake materials.

“The members of the church council suggested if truly the church was owing Chuks like he claimed, checks and balances be carried out. The church had to employ the services of an external Quantity Surveyor for equity and objectivity.”

Continuing, he said: “Another meeting was held and it consisted of the members of the Church Executive Council, the external Quantity Surveyor and Chuks. From the meeting it was realised that they overpaid Chuks and the job on ground was not commiserate.

“After the meeting, he still stood his ground that the church owes him and at that instance he was told to bring documents of the job he has done so far. Since then he has been on the run.”

The SSA disclosed that the church had to involve the Police Area Command and Zone 5 in the matter.

Meanwhile, he called on the Nigeria Police Force to do the needful as the church will seek justice till the end.
