The exited 500,000 members of Npower, a Buhari youth empowerment program of the Federal government has run out of patience, saying that in March they will hit the streets with a 10, 000, 000 man nationwide protest.

Recall that after their monthly payment was stopped for over six months when they exited the programme, nothing serious has been brought up to the table for them despite numerous exit packages announced for them by the Humanitarian and Disaster Management Ministry.

According to a call notice found on their social media account, Npower Youth Congress shows that they wish to re-strategize and overcome the fear factor. In their words, “We are not deterred on our demands. Now is the time to take their lemon and turn it into lemonade.”

Adding that the Federal Government may have a monopoly of deceit, but they are collectively smarter than the Federal government this time around.

They further stated that they “have given them enough notice with spontaneous protests.” But this is an opportunity to drive home their demands. They put up their demands as follows:

1. Confirm those selected for job with the appointment letter.

2. Disbursement of the fund to those selected for loan and grant.

In furtherance to that, they have vowed not to waste their time for warning protest “but rather strategize for 10,000,000 men Nationwide ceaseless protest.”

According to them, the FG has taken their simplicity for foolishness and enough is enough.

They accused the Federal Government of deliberate technical delay tactics, noting that a normal registration for all Nigerians does last only for 2 weeks or 3 weeks, “but because of their deceitful nature they prepared a hitch filled Nexit portal that will take a whole year to complete registration.”

They called on the entire Npower Beneficiaries to get ready for a 10,000,000 man Nationwide ceaseless protest that’s slated to commence on the 8th day of March 2021.

They, therefore, directed all the affected beneficiaries to “gather in front of the governors’ office in all the 36 states of the federation while Abuja residents will occupy the Presidential villa.”

That the protest will last for as long as it will take the FG to meet their demands. They will be ready to sleep and wake up there.
