2023: Guber: 3rd Force Visits Ndokwa Nation, Makes Case For Delta Central, Says Augoye, Best Choice

3rd Force Organization, a political pressure group, has visited Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) to woo the socio-cultural body to support Delta Central in producing the next governor of the state, come 2023.

The group was received by the President General of NNU Gen. Mike Nduibusi (retd.), in his country home at Ezhionum Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, alongside some members of his executive.

Other NNU executive members present include Secretary General, NNU, Chukwuemeke Ojione Ogie; Member, Finance/Revenue Generation Committee, NNU, High Chief A.C. Enegide and Member, Oil and Gas Committee, High Chief Timothy Umukoro.

Speaking during the consultation visit, National Coordinator of 3rd Force Organization, Olorogun David Omoru, who also is the Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Development, said that the reason for the visit was similar to that of DC-23 that visited a day earlier, which is to garner support from them to make power shift to Delta Central.

Omoru, who praised the Okowa administration, said it is important that Deltans choose a governor that can improve on the strides of the present government.

He added: “By what has been in existence since 1999, a platform has been laid that every eight years the power should shift from one senatorial district to another. As a group, we are in tandem with the zoning arrangement of PDP in the state.”

According to him, it is not enough for power to shift to Delta Central, but said that they have picked Chief James Augoye as their choice, and thus urged NNU to support this move.

Continuing, he opined that Okowa has performed better than his predecessors and 3rd Force believes that if given a chance that Augoye will deliver too.

Olorogun Omoru urged NNU and Deltans not to fall for moneybags that will try to monetize the process to choose the
next governor.

He hinted that they will go round all the President Generals in the state to preach the message of Delta Central and Augoye, noting that NNU is the second group they have visited after a successful visit to Isoko Development Union (IDU).

Eulogizing the PG of NNU, he, on behalf of 3rd Force Otrganization presented an award to him conferring him as a patron of the lobby group.

Responding, Nduibuisi said that NNU was apolitical, but said that they will involve other stakeholders in their area and come up with a position on who succeeds Okowa.

He commended 3rd Force Organization, saying that the group is notable in PDP and the state and their demands will be critically looked into just like demands for others.

“Our doors are thrown open to all political parties and groups,” he added.

Speaking further, he said that Ndokwa Nation also her own demands and at the right time, they too will move round to consult others to actualize their interests also.

National leaders, some Local Government Area coordinators and members of the lobby group were present during the visit.
