Afuye’s Death, Big Blow To Media Industry –Ekiti NUJ

The Nigeria Union of journalists, Ekiti State Council, has commiserated with the leadership and members of Ondo State Council over the gruesome murder of one of the brilliant young stars of the media industry, Bunmi Afuye.
A statement signed by
Rotimi Ojomoyela, Chairman NUJ, Ekiti State Council and Kayode Babatuyi,
Secretary, NUJ, Ekiti State Council said: “We received the news of the death of Afuye with unimaginable shock, pain and trauma because the deceased was a promising journalist who displayed rare diligence, competence and humility.
“For us at Ekiti NUJ, his death was a big blow to the media industry.

“We share in your grieve and pain at this critical time, but we urge you all to take solace in God who knows the best and the fact that Afuye lived a fulfilled life even though he was murdered at a time he was blossoming.”
While also commiserating with the immediate family of the deceased, Ekiti NUJ called on the Ondo State Government and the security agents to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act and make them pay.
