Ologbosere: The Visit Of Ooni Of Ife To Ayiri Is Embarrassing, He Remains Stripped — Rita Lori
By Daniel Dafe
Chief (Mrs.) Rita Lori Ogbegbor, the Igba of Warri kingdom has reacted to the visit of the Ooni of Ife to Chief Ayiri Emami.
In a letter to sons and daughters of Iwere Land, seen on Facebook, the outspoken chief, said “the visit of the Ooni of Ife and subsequently to the home of Ayiri Emami (the stripped Ologbosere of Warri Kingdom), which has gone viral all over the media has been very embarrassing.”
She added: “However after exhaustive investigation, we now know that the Ooni may not have been fully briefed about the circumstances that led to Ayiri being stripped of his title and as a chief of Warri Kingdom. We also want to take into cognizance that the Qoni is one of our allies and traditionally a father.
“We think it is for these reasons he got caught up in the web that was weaved for him, or how else a private meeting of a traditional ruler like the Ooni became a media event that is now both embarrassing to the Itsekiri people, the Ooni himself and the Yoruba nation.”

Furthermore, she asked all sons and daughters “to overlook the event and look at the Ooni as a friend, ally and father.”
According to her, “Ayiri Emami remains stripped of his title as Ologbosere and a chief of Warri Kingdom.”
