The institution directed all staff and students to resume academic activities, calling on Deans and Heads of Departments to ensure smooth running of activities.
Recall that Ayaemene died after a brief illness under controversial circumstances at the university’s health center. Determined to find out the cause of his death, Professor Egwunyenga ordered a probe and declared one week mourning in honour of the student. Some students had taken to the streets in protest, saying the health workers were to blame for the student’s death.
The university community and other groups of interests are eagerly waiting to find out the facts gotten by the probe panel on what led to the death of the 100 Level student.
