Court Dissolves 34 Years Marriage Due To Lack Of Love

An Area Court sitting at Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, has dissolved the 34 years marriage between Ibrahim Aduke and Ishola Akanbi, due to lack of love.
The presiding Judge, AbdulQadir Umar, dissolved the marriage between the plaintiff and the defendant.
Umar ordered that the wife should observe the Islamic three months Iddah (mandatory seclusion) period before any other marriage and should have custody of the two children, age six and 14, male and female, respectively.

The court also ordered that the defendant should pay N20,000 monthly for the maintenance of the two children, pay their school fees as agreed and have access to the children at reasonable time.
The applicant had filed for divorce, custody and maintenance of children due to lack of love on March 27, but the defendant sought for settlement.
The judgment was made due to the report of settlement, that the two parties could not settle their misunderstanding and insisted on divorce.
