How Fraudster Used True Caller, WhatsApp To Impersonate Delta SSG, Swindle Victims Over N10M

The police in Delta State have made more information available on the operations of the man, Samson Ibiloma, arrested for impersonating the Secretary to the State Government, Kingsley Emu and swindling gullible vicitims of their money.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe, who took to his X handle on Wednesday, said: “The suspect, Samson Ibiloma is a suspected fraudster who swindles people of their money in the guise of giving them jobs.”

Adding: “He was impersonating the secretary to the Delta State Government, Hon Kingsley Emu. He registered a sim card, used True Caller to change the name to Hon Kingsley Emu, and then opened a WhatsApp page, used the picture of the SSG as DP.”
He continued: “He has so far scammed his victims over Ten Million naira (#10,000,000).”
The police, acting on technically generated intelligence, arrested the suspect by the Command’s Decoy squad.
