Gov. Oborevwori To Hold 1st Anniversary Thanksgiving Sunday

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will on Sunday May 26, 2024 celebrate the first anniversary of his administration with a thanksgiving service.

The thanksgiving with theme “One year of Advancing Delta” will hold at the Living Faith Church, Ibusa Road, Asaba at 10am.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon called on party faithful, political stakeholders and Deltans to join the Governor in thanking God for an amazing year filled with exploits in projects’ delivery and unprecedented human capital development as encapsulated in the MORE Agenda.

In another development, DELSU has extended the submission of first semester Continuous Assessments (CAs) for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) who said this in an official memo, recalled that a circular dated 3rd February, 2026 was issued to Deans of Faculties on the submission of First Semester Continuous Assessments (CAs) for the 2025/2026 academic session, with the deadline set for Friday, 20th February, 2026. Adding: “Following appeals from some Deans of Faculties, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O.Asagba, has approved a final extension of the submission deadline by one (1) week. “Accordingly, all Departments are required to forward their Continuous Assessments (CAs) to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on or before Friday, 27th February, 2026,” saying that “no further extension will be granted.” “Deans and Heads of Departments are requested to ensure strict compliance,” he said. Meanwhile, Deans of Faculties have been informed of the urgent need to submit the 100 Level result spreadsheets for the 2024/2025 academic session. According to Owamah, all Heads of Departments (HODs) are to download their respective 100 Level result spreadsheets from the University Result Engine and forward same to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on or before Thursday, 12th February, 2026, for onward transmission to the Vice-Chancellor.
