Troops Arrest Notorious Kidnappers, Terrorists In Plateau State

The Troops of 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven have arrested two notorious kidnappers and terrorists in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, following a sting operation based on intelligence reports.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation, codenamed Operation Golden Peace, was conducted on Feb. 24 at about 2:20 p.m. in Lugere Sho, Barkin Ladi. The raid was carried out after actionable intelligence was obtained from a previously arrested suspect on Feb. 22.

During the operation, troops apprehended another high-profile kidnapper and terrorist at Kwok Village, also in Barkin Ladi LGA. The suspect, currently in custody, is providing useful confessions regarding past criminal activities, including multiple kidnappings in Plateau and Nasarawa States.
According to military intelligence, one of the arrested individuals admitted to sustaining gunshot wounds in a previous encounter. The suspects have also revealed the identities and hideouts of their accomplices operating in different parts of Barkin Ladi LGA.
Troops are conducting follow-up operations to track down and apprehend the remaining members of the criminal syndicate.
