Bayelsa West: Chief Brown, Other APC Candidates Visit Adagbabiri Monarch, Seek Royal Blessings Ahead Of Polls
Hon. Chief Mrs. Ebizi Brown, member representing Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the constituency in the forthcoming general elections, has joined other APC candidates for Bayelsa West Senatorial District on a familiarization visit to the palace of the Amadaowei of Adagbabiri Community.
The delegation, led by the APC senatorial candidate for Bayelsa West, High Chief Fidelis Agbiki, also included the party’s House of Representatives candidate for Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Hon. Bernard Kenebai, alongside party leaders, supporters and other stakeholders.
The team was received by His Royal Highness Alaowei Brodrick Okee, the Amadaowei of Adagbabiri Community, in the company of traditional rulers, chiefs, elders, youth leaders, women representatives and other prominent members of the community.
The visit formed part of the APC’s grassroots consultation and engagement across Bayelsa West Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming general elections. It also provided an opportunity for the candidates to formally introduce themselves to the traditional institution, seek royal blessings and present their vision for inclusive governance, sustainable development and improved socio-economic opportunities for the people.

Addressing the gathering, the APC candidates stressed the need for unity, peace and collaboration, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved through collective efforts and purposeful leadership. They also pledged to provide effective representation, quality legislation and responsive governance if elected.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Ebizi Brown expressed appreciation to the royal father and the people of Adagbabiri for their warm reception and continued support. She reaffirmed her commitment to quality representation, people-oriented legislation and attracting projects that would improve infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and the overall welfare of residents of Sagbama Constituency III.
She assured the people that her passion for service remained unwavering and called for sustained unity and support as the election season progresses, expressing confidence that together they could build a more prosperous future for the constituency and Bayelsa West.
In his remarks, the Amadaowei of Adagbabiri Community, His Royal Highness Alaowei Brodrick Okee, welcomed the APC delegation and commended the candidates for recognizing the importance of the traditional institution through the familiarization visit.
The monarch described the engagement as a demonstration of humility and respect for traditional rulers, whom he said play a critical role in promoting peace, unity and grassroots development. He urged the candidates to maintain regular engagement with their constituents and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every community if elected.
The visit further strengthened the relationship between the APC candidates and the people of Adagbabiri as political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the general elections.
