Light Of The World Bible Church of God Holds National Convention
The Light of the World Bible Church of God International Incorporated has successfully held her 2017 National Convention.
This took place at the church’s international headquarters in Benin City, Edo State and had leaders and members attending in large numbers.
This year’s programme with theme: “Turning Point”, held alongside the ministry’s 22nd anniversary.
During his welcome address, the General Overseer, Apostle Dr. Samuel Egharevba noted that God has helped the ministry navigate through all odds despite the tough journey of the church since inception on the 22nd of October, 1995.
He added: “It is time for us to achieve success yet to be achieved, reach heights yet to be reached and do more than what has already been done.”
The programme which had morning and evening sessions daily, climaxed on Sunday with a special thanksgiving service.
Some of the topics tackled during this year’s event include: ‘Understanding the Integrity in Ministry’, Capacity Building through Integrity’, ‘Be a Blessing, not a Burden’, ‘A good Labourer’ and Being Right with God’.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat, Apostle Egharevba opined that the annual convention is organised yearly to bring members from every part of Nigeria to render thanksgiving to God, stressing that it also was a time to update members on the vision of the church.
On the choice of the theme, he said that it was received from God through a revelation, saying that through this year’s programme, the members have come to terms with the next level God has mapped out for the church.
He said: “The large turnout of attendees during the programme attests to the fact that lives are impacted yearly through the convention.”
He urged members to “remain committed, stay focused and continue in the service of God.”
