Youths Protest Sales, Intake Of Hard Drugs In Abraka, Call On NDLEA, NAFDAC, DTSG To Rescue Them
The youths of Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, ably led by Efe Don Kigho on Saturday, 20th March, 2021 took to the streets of Abraka in protest against the sales and intake of hard drugs.
The protest became necessary due to recent happenings in the community.
The youth president had earlier declared war against illicit drugs and drug abuse.
The president decried the rate at which young people take these hard drugs at will and how the sellers of these illicit drugs do so with much impetus and flamboyance.
The protesters flooded the streets with several placards with inscriptions such as ‘Say no to hard drugs,’ ‘NDLEA save our soul,’ ‘Say no to narcotics.’
Kigho while addressing the press demanded that all culprits ie the drug sellers that have been apprehended by the community should be persecuted squarely by relevant authorities.
