Former IPAC Chairman, Fred Obi Commends Okowa Over Appointments Of Ochonogor, Tilije

The former chairman, Delta State Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC, Chief Fred Obi, has congratulated Chiefs Festus Ochonogor and Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, for their reappointment into the state’s executive council, describing their appointments as a reward for hardwork.

Obi in a press statement made available to journalists in Asaba, through his media aide, Mr Clem Odukwe, commended governor Ifeanyi Okowa for considering merit above everything else, adding that Ochonogor and Tilije possessed certain values that earned them the job, which includes, honesty, hard work and diligence urging them to continue to maintain those values.

Adding: “With their kind of rare pedigrees, experiences and qualifications, the state has progressively put the round peg in the round hole. I am confident that these great achievers will continue to prove their mettle as profound ambassadors of the state.”

He said he was confident that Ochonogor and Tilije will bring their wealth of experience, political sagacity and their administrative prowess to bear in their assignments as commissioners by contributing to the achievement of the governor’s “Stronger Delta” mantra in this last lap of the administration.

“He further stress that Chief Ochonogor as the immediate past Commissioner for Housing performed excellently well hence his reappointment. That Chief Ochonogor is viewed in Ndokwa Political Family as a detrabilized and result oriented political tactician.”

Chief Obi described the governor as a focused and pragmatic leader who had turned the fortunes of Delta State around for the better in the last six years, saying the reappointment of Ochonogor and Tilije into his government, was a right step in the right direction.

He however, appealed to the people of Ndokwa nation to continue with their support for the Okowa’s administration because he meant well for the people of the state.

“Let me appeal to Ndokwa people to remain steadfast, focused in their support for Okowa’s administration, so that at the end of his tenure, we shall all have reason to celebrate the legacy of a ‘Stronger Delta’, standing on the tripod of prosperity, peace and progress.

“Again, I want to strongly advise that caution should also be our watchword, as over night, Ndokwa has suddenly become the Biblical beautiful bride that is the desires of all Men, all kinds of Charecters in their bid to clinch power are now playing dirty politics to divide us, hence we must be cautious as we prepare for 2023 general elections.”

“I will always be a happy man if a Federal Institution is located in Ndokwa land, in as much as I would want it so, caution should be my watchword so as not to loss my sensibility even as I continue to ask questions especially as it relates to the Federal Polythecnic Kwale and why the hurry to establish a Federal University while the question as to what happened to the Federal Polythecnic remained unanswered.”

“Ndokwa should not allow themselves to be dragged into this dirty politics which at the end, we may possibly not be able to come out of it in many Years to come.”

“Ndokwa Nation should continue their support for Governor Okowa-led administration and not allow some selfish ones amongst us to drag us into an unending and very unnecessary political war which will ultimately culminate to a strong economic down turn in the three Local Government Areas that make up the Ndokwa Nation,” he said.
