DTSG: Monthly Sanitation Exercise To Hold On Saturday
….Says No Restriction Of Movement

Delta State Government has said that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for the month of August will hold on Saturday, 31st August, 2024, between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.
This was contained in a statement on Friday by the State’s Ministry of Information signed by Theresa Adiabua Oliko, Director of Public Communication/ Functioning Permanent Secretary.

According to the statement, “during this month’s exercise, there will be no restriction of movement of persons and vehicles due to the People’s Democratic Party State Congress scheduled for the same day.”
Adding: “The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, advises that residents should cut overgrown weeds, desilt their drainages and keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of diseases, as it is the responsibility of all residents to clean 20 metres radius of their premises.”
“Officials of the Delta State Waste Management Board, local government councils and other relevant authorities will evacuate the resultant waste to approved dump sites in their various localities,” the statement concluded.
