Edo Police Parade Four For Car Snatching
Operatives of Edo State Police Command have arrested four persons for allegedly, snatching a Toyota Highlander at gun point.
Three of the suspects, Ifeanyi Okpara (26), Dennis Okosun (25) and Edwin Iruogbe (27), while operating on a motorcycle, allegedly snatched the SUV with Reg No RBC 66 AQ, at Ekpoma, Edo State.
The fourth suspect, Shehu Ismail (25), was said to have bought the vehicle from the carjackers for ₦1.5 million.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, Nemi Edwin-Iwo, the owner of the vehicle, Iwologbe Rapheal, of Judges Quarters, Ekpoma, reported the car theft to police 23 August, 2024, at about 20. 30pm.
“On the strength of this complaint, operatives of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit, through painstaking tech-driven investigation, led to the recovery of the snatched vehicle and the arrest of all the suspects involved,” he stated.
Other items recovered from the suspects included a locally made pistol with two live cartridges.
“All the suspects have confessed to the crime and will soon be charged to court,” CP Edwin-Iwo added.
