Ughelli North Chairman, Egbo, Resolves Oko-Erhavwe, Transcorp Power Dispute

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo, has successfully brokered peace between the Oko-Erhavwe Community in Agbarho and Transcorp Power Plc over a longstanding dispute involving community recognition and unpaid benefits.

The resolution was reached on Monday, May 4, 2026, during a meeting convened by the Ughelli North Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee.

At the meeting, the Council formally recognised Oko-Erhavwe as an autonomous community within Ughelli North Local Government Area, bringing clarity to its status and addressing one of the core issues in contention.

In addition, Transcorp Power Plc was directed to pay all outstanding benefits owed to the community without further delay, a move aimed at resolving grievances that had lingered for years.
