Ukwuani Chairman Complied With Court Order, Case Vacated — Media Team

The Possible Media Team (PMT), media arm of the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. C. S. Possible Ajede, has dismissed reports suggesting wrongdoing on the part of the council chairman, insisting that he fully complied with a court order in a case instituted by Chukwuemeke Victor against Solomon Ajede and two others.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the media team accused certain individuals of spreading false information aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Executive Chairman and distracting his administration from its developmental agenda.

The statement specifically referenced a publication allegedly circulated by one Best Nnazom, which the team claimed was part of a coordinated effort by political opponents to undermine the chairman’s leadership and misrepresent the facts surrounding the court matter.

According to PMT, contrary to claims being circulated, the court matter was vacated on June 16, 2026, after the Executive Chairman complied with all directives contained in an earlier judgment delivered on May 12, 2026.

The team explained that the court had directed the chairman to present the council’s income and expenditure report to the legislative arm of the local government and subsequently make the report public.

It stated that Hon. Ajede complied fully with the judgment by attending the scheduled legislative session and submitting the required income and expenditure report covering the stipulated period.

“The Executive Chairman fulfilled all obligations outlined in the court’s judgment, demonstrating transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law,” the statement noted.

According to the media team, the chairman’s actions showed that he had nothing to conceal regarding the finances of the local government, adding that the court subsequently reviewed his compliance and vacated the matter.

The team maintained that attempts to portray the outcome differently were misleading and intended to create unnecessary controversy around the administration.

While calling on critics to desist from actions capable of causing division within the local government, PMT urged stakeholders to channel their energies toward initiatives that would foster growth and development in Ukwuani rather than engaging in disputes that could hinder progress.

The media team also expressed appreciation to the people of Ukwuani for their continued trust and support, assuring them that the Executive Chairman remains committed to transparency, good governance, and the delivery of democratic dividends across the local government area.
