2023: Group Calls On Mrakpor To Join Governorship Race
A political group, That Same God for Mrakpor, has called on Dr. Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor (SAN) to join the Delta Governorship race for 2023, stating that it was time for the youths to take over the State’s leadership.
The forum made the call on Sunday during a courtesy visit to his Media Aide, Comr. Akpovoke Otiti at his residence in Asaba.
Otiti disclosed this in a statement made available to the newsmen.
According to the statement, Comrade Monday Omoshue, President of The Same God for Mrakpor, said the youths need Mrakpor for Governor of Delta state, come 2023.
Omoshue said that the group “after thorough research and evidence of the numerous antecedents’’ of Mrakpor’ humility nature, decided to call on him to run for Governor in 2023.
The youth leaders said Mrakpor had made remarkable achievements in the areas of judiciary, human capital development, youth and women inclusion in governance.
“Like many other young Nigerians wanting to change the narratives of political bandwagon and recycled politicians, we are looking up to him as the hope of Delta youths.

“We are discussing with our patrons and we already have the network it would take to propagate their message all over Delta,” Omoshua said.
In his response, Otiti called on Deltans to continuously support the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
Otiti in his words further said that Okowa was doing his best to proffer solutions to the different challenges the state was faced with.
Reacting to the call of Dr. Mrakpor to run for governorship in 2023, Otiti said the discussions and events ahead of 2023 elections were in the hands of God to decide.
Otiti urged the group to encourage Delta youths to participate in the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise of their voters card.
