His Royal Majesty, King Friday Oddini Abaja, the Ukwata of Umukwata Kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, has expressed gratitude after being honoured by Delta State University, Abraka, during its 18th convocation ceremony, saying the recognition has further strengthened his commitment to service and humanity.
Recall that DELSU awarded the Honorary Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A. Honoris Causa) to the monarch for his achievements as a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Oasis Magazine on Saturday before the conferment, he said the honour would serve as motivation for him to continue contributing meaningfully to society and supporting the growth of the university.
He appreciated the Vice Chancellor, the Senate, and other stakeholders of the institution for the recognition, describing it as a deeply humbling experience.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me. I want to say a big thank you to the Senate, the Vice Chancellor, and my colleagues,” he said.
